Re: Contenders or pretenders?
There's always going to be teams that dominate a year and are the standout but I don't think at this stage that anyone can say there's a standout. The Cats definitely were in 2007, Pual Roos Swans in 05/06 were....we knew pretty early on in 02, 03 and 04 that Lions were going to be contenders...same...

Most importantly, vary your meals and have a balanced diet. Try red lentil and radish and alfalfa spr...

I have no problem and neither does the AFL. He's abiding by the rules. You'll find that it creates an ounce of uncertainty for the opposition, a chance for some players with doubts to get up for team change deadlines and it also gives coaches a chance to assess weather conditions, late info on the ...

Re: Armitage still can't manage consistency !
Maybe Ross could have just looked at the Stat Sheet R19- 22 possesions, 1goal, 10 tackles R21- 18 possessions, 13 tackles R22- omitted...... In; R.Eddy Who questioned the coach at the time? I wonder what Leigh Tudor thought about it? Maybe because we were flying alot of the Lyons selection blunders...

Re: Brett Delidio Quote
Roo and Dal and one other senior player (might have been Bally I think) were out in the media around the time of the Aka saga at the Lions. At that time, Dal used to be on Before the Game quite a bit and I think that's where he might have said that Aka isn't wanted. After Aka got the arse, I thought...

Re: How good is Armo's tackling
Armo only had 4 tackles according to the stats. Blake with 8, Sippos with 6 and Hayes with 5 had the most for the saints. Glad you mentioned the tackle numbers. I was going to say that Blakey laid plenty...stuck nearly all and a couple of them went unrewarded when their blokes definitely had prior....

Re: Not resting the stars was worth almost two wins
The thing that helps the team in the long term and also in the short term for a fair dinkum crack at the finals this year, is that more blokes get game time. That's where team depth, management of your older blokes and some tough calls need to be made if you have any aspirations of being a contender...

Re: Matt Maguire
I felt so uneasy about the decision to let someone go who had grown with the group and had been such an important part of our young team in the 04/05 years. The risk was there that he'd never play again, but surely you'd give him enough time if you rated the bloke. Why would we get rid of someone li...

Re: Who gets McQualter?
No offence intended here, but who cares what you recall? I know what I said. If there is anything I was consistent in questioning, it was the forward line and it's issues. So you said it. Cant recall you ever saying anything against our coach but who cares. Who should have played in the forward rol...

Re: Goddard/Roo switch?
Roo missed some shots on goal that BJ most probably wouldn't have....As far as our last 3 coaches, well I reckon BJ only arrived as a player in the last 5 years and it had nothing to do with Lyon's influence, it had more to do BJ's maturity. His role as a utility and his position was governed by nec...

Re: Pump GC vs resting players
It might become more accepted as part of the modern game where travel and players ages and planning for finals and adding team depth means you rest players. Tell these blokes that they are first choice when we make finals and tell them that it is in the teams interest. Ideally you'd get buy-in from ...

Re: Goddard/Roo switch?
We should never have got that close. Anyway it had nothing to do with BJ or Rooy swapping positions. You are very negative on the teams hunger and determination, and the talent on the list. The players had the courage to fight and they had the ability to win because they earnt the right with some m...

As a supporter, you want your captain to believe and you want your captain to have the courage and conviction to aim high. You hear Judd say it. I've heard Hodge and Maxwell and Selwood say it...Our spiritual leader Lenny keeps telling everyone we can do it this year, doesn't he? You gotta admit the...

why should it be all about what might have been with matches lost so far....every team has lost matches that they should have won. It's amazing what hunger and belief can achieve....What about the current teams in top 4 - Essendon and West Coast getting rolled by the bottom teams this week? And Port...

I was with 3 tigers supporters at the game and they were nearly crying with joy saying it's the first time they have made finals since Danny Frawley coached them. I didn't realise they had secured their spot yet? I reckon if people think we are chance then they are certain. There draw now becomes e...

I WANT THE MEDIA TO SAY THE WORDS; "ROO THINKS THE SAINTS CAN WIN THE PREMIERSHIP"!! Our stars need to get around each other and ask themselves if they want to give it one last crack. I've heard Lenny say it...and you can see that he truly believes it...but does our Number 1 believe it??? ...

cross2012 2011 started 18 months ago...not last summer No argument with your comment that Roo is a champion, but Roo needs to be kept fresh or at least we manage/reduce his game time. Re: Did the Saints Miss Geary ?
I reckon the selectors are doing a v good job and SW has to give gametime to the youngsters. They didn't star last night, but they also didn't lose it for us.
How many were the Tigers missing? Don't think it was 3 or 4 of their best and it certainly wasn't 5.
