It's interesting. Against Richmond, at the Punt Rd end, nearly all of the late misses were to the right side of the post - Milne, Montagna, Archer. They talk to each other on these shots, but nothing changed - not once did someone miss to the left hand side :!: :!: I raised the subject of general ki...

Thanks for the insight Tony, it's helpful.

At their age and playing AFL football, why wouldn't you be chirpy.

It's the supporters who always expect over-achievement. Does the team have performance issues - yes. Have we failed for the year - definitely not yet. :!:

I don't know how it looks for other teams, but this is certainly a tough "first half" draw for the Saints.

Let's just win the Essendon game, have our bye and take things a week at a time from there. An Essendon win this week is very important.

Did Jack Steven train at any pace today? He was sore after the Sandy match on Saturday.

Interesting point. The Red Shorts should stand out, plus there will be some Red Stripe on display. A few days ago, on another thread, somebody suggested some narrow Red & White stitching/striping on the outside edge of the back of the plain black Saints jumper. This would give it a Saints look. ...

Great news. Like most others, I'll take the white shorts. An important question is this - " how much influence did the Sainsational feedback prompt either the St Kilda heirachy or the AFL (less likely) to act?" Me thinks perhaps a lot more than they would be willing to admit to. Let's now ...

Yes, Mini & Eddy have had their opportunities. Young guys need to be given a chance, as long as we don't overload games with inexperience. Better to have "goers" than "triers." Kosi is certainly a question mark re. his ability to run out a full game. Sneider's conditio...

Plugger is correct, but I think that we play Etihad a lot better.

Frankston is the same size as the MCG, but that didn't mean much for us on Friday night.

Much less atmosphere at the G with smaller crowds. Give me Etihad for atmosphere any day- except for Finals at the G with big crowds.

Without repeating, I am in complete support of Dr Spaceman's comments. The point to me is at the end of the day, it's not so much about the jumpers and their colour variations, but more the integrity of the Saints board and its Senior Management, with us THE MEMBERS. Where is the Club's integrity, a...

Additional bulk is helping, plus more game time experience.

Will have it put to him by both Hill and Ryder next week. Perhaps Kosi may have to be looked at for support. You can't ruck all day against the likes of the bulky and fast Hill. :!:

Dal played well against Richmond. Needs to maintain this.

Our bottom six is where the improvement needs to be made and new blood given an opportunity to perform.

Foot skills and better forward entry are also needed.

Sounds unanamous that an injection of new blood needs to be tried and we know that increased pace is needed against Essendon. Don't forget their big man power of Ryder & Hill, which may make Kosi a consideration. Steven if fit (8 day break) sounds right and after yesterday, Lynch for Dempster. S...

From another thread, apparently, Paul Hudson who has joined the Saints, was Collingwood's skills/kicking coach. Let's hope we double our efforts in this area. However, it seems that by the time players get to AFL level, they are set in their kicking styles. On the training track, they all look to ha...

Nothing wrong with "rotating" him through the forward line. At CHF he could still have a prescence around the mid area.

He's a gun and will take pressure off Roo. Give it a try for a couple of quarters. The rest of the side's back structure won't collapse.

Agree. The forward structure (plus delivery) is the current problem. Put your best down there, or even rotate through there to make an impact/difference. A player of Goddard's stature will certainly release blanket coverage of Riewoldt. It's early days and a few things tried now, will be better than...

Maybe that's why the entire coaching staff were at Sandy on Saturday. I can see (hopefully) a few changes for this week. Better to start early to see how others go, than wait until it's too late. I can't see how hundreds of Saintsational contributors can see it, but the coaches can't. Although -----...
