Re: Luke Dunstan to be traded?
Appreciate your opinion and insights Vaz Apologies for the unnecessary rudeness you’ve unnecessarily had to endure... leopards and spots and all that, guess it was your turn. You’re spot on with Dunstan and called it sometime back. Be interesting to see how it all plays out Thank you Skeptic there ...

Re: Jack Higgins
If we get this guy it’ll be massive. He plus Crouch can both play forward / midfield and it’ll do away with Lonie which is great. We can only afford to have 1 pigeon holed small forward (Butler) and no more. Keep Kent and Hind a reserves in case of injuries . If we manage to land Higgo then: - (1) ...

Re: Luke Dunstan to be traded?
You can put whatever spin on it you want but even before injury this year, he’s been on the list for 5+ years and failed to cement a spot in the top 22. Absolutely has shown patches and looked like taking the next step, but he hasn’t. Not overly fast Doesn’t win enough ball Average disposal Career ...

Re: Luke Dunstan to be traded?
It's not a strong rumour or source but I did hear Luke Dunstan may be traded back to SA. With the emerging Acres, Gresham , Billings and Mc Kenzie and Steele and Stephens coming in as well as hopefully Freeman coming good to compliment Jack Steven, Armitage and Ross is Dunstan under the pump to kee...

Re: Luke Dunstan to be traded?
I wrote this piece in 2016 about Dunstan and in 2020 he wasn’t picked by Ratten and the new football staff...a different coach and regime and they deemed him not up to first 22 status and now he is injured.... Some on here called him a future captain of the club.... I had a read I found interesting...

Re: Crouch
Crouch coming in now puts another A level inside Bull next to Steele. He is an accumulator of possessions a Sherman tank that will improve our contested possessions that ranked mid table ( lower than our final ladder position) which means it’s a deficiency but not anymore. It will improve our outsid...

Re: Crouch
I like to think this frees Jack Steele up even more. He was almost pigeon holed as an inside mid at the start, used as a stopper etc.... Now we've seen he has plenty of strings to his bow. He's become elite and Crouch gives him even more breathing room. This could end up a really good get in more w...

Re: Jimmy Webster & Dylan Roberton
Webater 100% is up for trade and so would Roberton. Players out of the 22 on big contracts have to be cleared as the list evolves. I said it once and I will say it again if Caldwell comes in especially expect some players on big money or not in first 22 to be up for trade. Ross- expensive player 700...

Re: What we need
All the scribes seem to think we need more class and grunt in the midfield I agree with the class part, but don't Steele, Jones, Ross and Dunstan give us grunt in spades? Apart from Clark and potentially Coffield we lack potential midfield class, not grunt. So why are we linked with in and under ty...

Re: Trade Period Part 2- go do your thing Gubby
Im hearing a big announcement is imminent... Expect an interesting trade period some players to be shipped out and we are looking to strengthen in midfield ( as we know) and KPP in attack and possibly in defence. Carlisle contract very incentive based showing they are not fully invested in him as t...

Re: The Essendon exodus
My 2 most despised AFL people are Sheedy and Malthouse. Sheedy is an arrogant shifty prick and I know he never liked us. I remember once he decided to talk Luke Ball up in the Age when we were in tense discussions with him end of 2004 and it was obvious he was taking him up to lift the price that’s ...

It’s his prerogative to leave the team and be there for his 3 rd child but should he be paid for this? This is a semi final we have won 22 in our 130 odd years of existence it’s a massive game my problem is they want their full salary entitlements when they are not fulfilling their duties and don’t ...

Re: 2020 Trade Period
Our ability to land a quality inside mid, whether young or older (but hopefully not ancient) is going to be pivotal to our fortunes over the next several seasons. We actually need 2 more gun mids if we wish to be a genuine contender. We have many good to excellent young players and virtually every ...

Re: Has anyone heard the story about Plugger?
I can’t seem to copy and paste it but if he is just assisting in fund raising that’s great the way it’s written is very ambiguous last line is like “ come to such event and help Tony beat cancer.”
Very confusing.
