I rate him highly, but i wouldnt say he is a tough, hard at it midfielder. His skills are probably his strength, also his leadership ability, but i dont look at him as being in and under If we could get him somehow i would be over the moon... He was a Saints fan, but like anything, his faviourite t...

A quality quote? Says more about you than anything else. Oh, so its personal, right, if you can't see the bigger picture, maybe it went over your head... Not personal. All I'm saying is bugger all on here have ever seen him play. I have and think he deserves a game right now. So what are you...

Assuming we finish top 4, our first pick would be in the 20's. We would need to give this and probably a player as well. I think we should go for it though. A fresh start could have him living up to his potential. I'd like to get him, but after last year, do we really want to give up our first draf...

Yes, ended up with Goddard instead. However couldnt we have also selected did Salopek at pick 6 but we decided to trade it to Port as part of the Brooks deal??? He would be great on our list, as long as we dont have to give up to much for him!! Oh jeez thats right, haha, Barry Brooks, oh god wasn't...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he as good as at the Saints in the lead up to draft week, then Blues got caught cheating which gave us pick 1 with which we got Goddard. That was that year wasn't it?

I'd be happy with Salopek on our list for sure.

so what that dempster got 5 disposals.. its his job to defend isnt it? Oh, another one who thinks it's okay for defenders to have no possessions. This is not the '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s or even the noughties, this is 2010 and you are expected to get your hands on the ball and have an impact on the g...

Re: OFFICIAL TEAMS

IN: Harding, Logan, Pittard, Thomas OUT: Nick Salter (calf) If Pittard makes the final cut it will be his AFL debut. Pittard was drafted with no. 16, the Saints' pick that was traded to Essendon in the Lovett deal that then went to Port via a 3-way trade involving Hawthorn, with Jay Nash, Mark Will...

Didn't we make a huge play for Cox when he was yet to play a game for the Eagles (when he was sitting on the rookie list?)??? Would be foolish to pick him up, he isn't half the player he was two years ago. I hear Clark Keating is still looking for a new home... Give big Mac the big job, Gardi will g...

I see the point of the OP, not saying we are happy, but just that its possible to turn around some losses and in the scheme of the season, while its not ideal, its definitely not over. You are very right, we are very ordinary, but so were the Bulldogs a month ago, now people are saying they are a ge...

....but they do tend to favour the team that is winning..... This is a pretty fair call, but I would probably correct it to say the team with the momentum tends to get the better of the umpiring. We were hard done by at times, more so for the ones they missed for us, rather than those they gave aga...

Surely this thread is just taking the pi$$!! I will try to take the OP seriously, Ball would not have made an ounce of difference tonight. He left us, he refused to let us deal with any other teams other than the filth in trade week, we didn't kick him out or let him slip away. You cannot hold an un...

I was shocked when he wasn't considered a straight up replacement for Roo when he was injured. But then Ross tends not to simply gift games to kids so its obvious he now thoroughly deserves his spot this week. Interesting to see he has played down back this year, good to see the versatility. I remem...

I still can't understand the hatred for Dempster this year, he has been more than serviceable since he has returned. He is not in our best dozen players agreed, but he deserves his spot based on his form. He looks at home in the backline, when he goes up forward, gets a bit lost, but he is a good pl...

Is it the fact he is a similar size and runs with a similar action as Dane Swan??? The running styles are uncanny IMO.

I don't quite understand Patto in our side, both he and Stanley can't kick the ball to save themselves, but so much more upside to Stanley as he is the future. I suppose Patto deserved his spot due to great form in the twos. We have Gardi and Mac already. With Koz back, thats enough in the way of B...

I thought the game was hilarious, which is a strange response from me (for those who know how fanatical and one eyed I am). Truth is, we couldn't have played much worse, yet, had we kicked 6 or 7 very gettable shots on goal, we still could have beaten the Pies. It was just one of those ugly games, b...

Would love to meet Freo in Melbourne to get into a Granny. So finishing top isn't always a priority. Would be an easier game week 3 than week 1... either way, we just gotta win them - doesn't matter who we play we can beat anyone!

Looking forward to watching this match. Shocking headbutt by Caven... I think its hilarious how Lockett is remembered as a Sydney great.

This game shows every side to Pluggers time at the Sainters, brilliant, unstoppable, brainless, thug, legend, there will never be another Plugger!

Oh, and another thing, whats with Merrett (think it was Merrett), sliding into Roo's hamstrings with his knees after a good mark. I have little doubt thats commonplace, but it seemed Rog was aiming for the hammy's with his slides. Wouldn't that be comparable to Bakes tapping an injured hand??? Anyon...

Inside 50 targets for the night... McEvoy 2 Patto 2 Roo 12 Milne 4 Schneider 3 Gardi 4 I don't doubt these stats but I would have thought we'd gone to Patto more than twice - unless it was just beyond the 50 arc but it felt like we used him a lot. Also, the stats should probably read something like...

Cloke may turn out to be ok, but the SUPERSTAR beat up by the media about him is completely unwarranted. He wouldn't be in the top 100 players in the AFL and is overrated in every sense of the word. I always laugh seeing his name in Mike Sheahans top 50 year in year out.
