Re: The candy stripe returns

Not a fan at all. Always seems way to "Busy" and without any detail. For me, I'm a fan of the remake of the original jumper, ie with the collar, or the hot cross bun/crusader jumper

Re: Schoenmaker

Lets hope he does get to at least 196cm and a 100kg although the stats sheet does not change. He looked like he had plenty of time and took 11 marks I think not bad for a kid first game. He has played forward at times for Tassie so that could be a option as well if keeler is back. I don't get why y...

At least you 2 got to see it! I went 65, 71, 97, 09, 10, 10 Didn’t go in 66 I’m jealous Doesn’t that just suck for you. What was the worst experience of you don’t mind me asking? For me, 97 and 09 are the worst and for some strange reason, the prelim loss in 04 to Port stays with me as a sad one to...

Needless to say, players who can turn up for finals are gold.

I've written this comment before but there are about !0 Milllion [or is it now 6 Million] reasons why St Kilda can't bottom out, well at least in the near to medium future. Being at least a middle of the road team and maybe playing in the finals gives them the opportunity to get decent levels of spo...

Fox commentators are infinitely better and I can't wait until they provide their own call of channel 7 games, so I don't have to listen to BT, Darcy, and JB any more.

Re: Kiddy Coleman

For those thinking NWM is wasted on the half back line,, the player that shifted the momentum vs Carlton was this bloke. He was excellent today and NWM will surpass him next year. Great selection at #10. I think NWM has already gone past Coleman. His kicking is more precise and demonstrated his run...

Re: Break a leg, Arryn Siposs !! 🏈 🦅

Siposs is out there, just held the ball down for a successful 3 pointer - Eagles leading 24-14 at halftime. I'm watching but don't really understand the game, there are only 60 minutes of actual play but countless stoppages that drive me nuts! I've often thought that if only the AFL could get a dec...

I’ll be going down next week so will put up a report on here. Monday and Friday!!! What do highly paid, full time , professional foot...

Re: Big boots to fill - Rowan Marshall

I think he’ll remain a utility type Ruckman- dare I say, like the great Shane Grambeau (whom he no doubt models himself upon) I somehow think ROMA's has "The Great" Shane Grambeau covered! In Shanes 51 games for the Saints, he kicked 39 goals. [In his VFL career of 111 games, he managed t...

Re: Ethan Phillips

Before we got Cordy i would have said yes, he's definitely worth a look, now i'd like the club to use that pick on a potential Key Forward to support King. Nah , more importantly, I'd like to use that pick on a potential Ruck/forward to support ROMA! Isaac Keeler - forward/ ruck would be ideal for ...

Re: Private School intake Draft Day

To me, it's a pretty crappy justification for the comparitive lack of funding for govt. schools to say that the system would fall apart if it were different. And no way private school kids should receive the same subsidy as govt school kids. They actually don't but why shouldn't they, pray tell? I ...

Re: Players Ross will love

Pity that Ben Long moved on. He is one player that would have grown under Lyon. He could see that the club wasn't getting anywhere and there were few chances/changes that would give him more games, so he looked elsewhere. Then 'POW" the earth moves on its axis and Lyon is at the helm.

True, but both have got a fair bit of grit and determination in their character that makes them "grow tall", which overcomes the couple of centimetres they lack physically!

Coaches:Can they borrow from other sports?

I think Aussie rules can take a lot from netball. I've just been watching the Aus Diamonds V RSA at the Comm Games. Boy, do these Diamonds know how to play and connect in transition. It's not the same as football, but the principles and positioning are very similar. Forwards, Mids, Defence. It's is ...
