Re: Nick Winmar to play the quater back role?
According to me and that is all that matters. I want this guy to make it. He is a great guy and seems to do all the right things on the track and before a game. I hope i am wrong. I want to be wrong. I want to see what it is like to be wrong. Ah... you do make me laugh at times Plugger. Where is he...

Re: The under 25's XXV
Clearly recognised the problem with the list and fixed it over the last 1.5 drafts. I'm not sure it's "fixed". Are there any stars in that side? I reckon that's a team full of ok to good to very good players (at best). To do really well, though, you need stars. Let's hope a couple of thos...

Good to see the recruiters and list managers know what they are doing. Clearly recognised the problem with the list and fixed it over the last 1.5 drafts. Bring in a couple more quality youngsters later this month. Lots of if's, but's and maybe's, but yes. Future isn't looking as dark and glo...

Kosi or Stanley back?
"It is going to be a squeeze from a big-man point of view. Whether we look at Rhys Stanley spending time down back or Kosi, it all depends what becomes available in the draft and what type of role we want to use Sam Fisher in this year," Watters said. http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/a...

Would it also depend on what the discussions were in the meeting back in September.
Warnings have been made by the club and the club has said he has been under an indefinate suspension since September 6th.

I think we will be paying out some of his contract. Wouldn't think it will be the whole amount though.

Just to confuse things even more.
I thought Dunell was our mid season rookie upgrade that every team had available. This was a permament upgrade not temporary like what occurs with a long term injury. Therefore he is on the senior list, or so I thought.

Re: WAFL Watchers - Nicholas Rodda
Looks good on paper. Read that he doesn't use his weight as much as he should/could. Maybe Maxie can teach him a thing or two about positioning. If we can get him with our pick in the 40's would be happy. I agree that we should go for one mature & one young KPD. What picks we use should be decid...

It's okay, we can all stop lamenting the fact that we missed out on Hamish...
Cameron Wood has been delisted, we can get him with pick 26. Was a number 18 pick, and has had 7 years of development put into him. So he's ready to go.

Yep, can't wait either! Booed Ross Lyon, that was great fun! He'll expect it, as Lyon did. Leaving for money = loss of respect from me. Can't we have a bit of fun at the footy, or is booing not politically correct these days? Lighten up people, show some passion, and have fun at the footy. :D where...

I also heard Tom Hickey say at his U14 Volleyball presentation night that he would never play for another sports club than the Broadbeach Spikers. Why did we use a first round draft pick to bring this sleeper agent to our club? HMac and BigMac would be a much better combination. Image the catchy Mac...

Re: YOU'RE KIDDING YOURSELVES....
I agree that the club posting that 'talks had progressed' was a bit strange. Got no issues otherwise with how our trade period turned out.
Strong draft position, our weakness was a lack of talls. We got 2 late first/second round talls in Lee and Hickey. And have 2 early second round picks.

Re: What potential young talent can we draft now?
Tanner Smith would be handy. Would like us to use a pick on him if he's around. 194cm key back.
Otherwise mostly just go for mids making skills the priority. Already got our talls by trading.

I think Watters and a few others have stressed that they see Stanley primarily as a forward.

in 2008 when Croad did his foot he played as a full back Why hasn't he since? Dawson, Schoen...he couldn't push either aside? He has played when fit. Had a quad issue late last year after coming back from knee. Would be cheap and fills a clear hole on our list. Lake has pushed him back in their pec...
