Re: Release the shackles.
, and from watching last night they just dont look like theyre having fun. ........... But inject some youth, allow the players to play with some flair and lets have some fun. Yes, I had the same feeling ..... just another day at the office!! Bringing younger players into the side might hopefully d...

OMG I havent read anywhere that said we were lucky to beat an undermanned Geelong. People have just stated facts. They were undermanned and that game will have absolutely no bearing on the round one clash. By the way I have read plenty that says we played very well. Plugger, Plugger, Plugger - you'...

Caroline Wilson reckons we're paranoid and then demonstrates why by mentioning that Gilbert and Armitage had sex with The Teenager but forgets anout Dayne Beams. This week a Richmond player tested positive for a performance enhancing drug - surely far worse than anything the Fab Four did in NZ. Ima...

Maybe if we stop looking for excuses and blaming others we would walk straighter instead of going around in circles because of the chip. Plugger 66 - have you been at the AGM? If not, just for once I would refrain from throwing in your two bobs’ worth which seems to be a compulsion of yours to au...

Training at the MCG
Just out of curiosity - not that it matters now - but did we have the same opportunity to train at the MCG as the Pies. If yes, why didn’t we take this opportunity, considering that we have far less experience at this ground. Would it have been of benefit to practise goal kicking in a training ses...

tish..... The argumet that our gameplan is not sustainable over a full season has the flaw that the Pies who won play a similar hardworking gameplan. True, but the Pies can play a fast-flowing game, something the Saints rarely do with a good opposition. IMO that's why they were exposed yesterday. T...

Does Ross Lyon have to take some of the blame?
I know that I’ll be getting absolutely crucified for what I’m about to write, but Ross Lyon has to take some of the blame. Saints Footy is simply not a sustainable style of football over 22 weeks. They’re game plan is based on strangling the opposition by hard tackling and blocking, particular...

I know the locations of several bridges and tall buildings if you would like me to pass the information on to you. Nahhh - the saints are not worth jumping off a bridge or tall building! Tomorrow is another day ... and as I said, towards the start of next season, I might have mellowed a bit (maybe!...

Please, can we not turn on our own? They got us to within a point of a flag in the face of great adversity. Just stop and think for a minute. Not turning on our own!!!! Just for once I'd like to see them win a game when it counts!!! FFS - do you really think we'll be back next year, with an ageing ...

Bloody hell it does!!!!!!!!!!saintlee wrote:I don't want to be a pessimist, and I do believe we can beat Collingwood, but I feel slightly ill thinking that we could lose 2 GFs in a row!
Anyone wanna convince me it will be alright and the Saints will win??!

Re: Another AFL Insult
According to sources, if we had lost Friday night, we would have played Fremantle at Etihad instead of the MCG. This was done because the AFL didn't believe that we could draw as big a crowd to the MCG as Geelong. They will struggle to get much over 40,000 friday night. Actually, it wasn't because ...

Barrie Hall's puch
Just ambled past the TV where they show the Sydney/Carlton Game - Halftime. They just showed the Barrie Hall punch to one of the Collingwood players. A punch like this was included in Baker’s 9 weeks (approx. 2-3 weeks). Interesting to see whether or not Barrie gets suspended. I suspect not.

Why getting upset because The Age, or for that matter, the press et al writes about Collingwood? It has never been any different and won’t change. What I am getting really, really p$**end off is that fact that now Ch10 has a trial run of cameras at the goal post, due to the goal umpiring stuff up ...

Re: Don't freak out!
Judging by current form it would be a little too ambitious to suggest we are going to go the full distance, but scorning someone for showing optism seems a tad harsh, wouldn't you say? Let me tell you I am FREAKING OUT. Didn’t watch too many games this weekend, but what I saw of the Tigers and Po...

Unfortunately, until we win a premiership, they will be right. We have failed grasp opportunties that we have created and have been put forward to us. I hate them too, but I hate them because it's hard to argue against them, especially when their cupboards are full of Premiership Cups and ours isn'...

Frankly, I’m not at all surprised. I know I’m going to get crucified saying this, but WE DID NOT PLAY WELL FOR A LONG TIME!!!! Somehow they managed to win, but up against a fast team, on the MCG - no chance. And, to make matters worse, I can’t see them winning against the Hawks either, unless ...

There will probably be an article in the Sun or Age by Mark Robinson or Caroline Wilson that St. Kilda fans and players have set fier to the place.Saint Bev wrote:after our great win last night was totally guttered within half an hour of fans leaving.

Re: Three games clear of fifth
With 8 games to go and a soft draw, double chance looking almost a sure thing. Easy now - I’m not so sure we have such a soft run home. There is Collingwood - love ‘em or hate ‘em, they play pretty good football at the moment. So a win is by no means a given. Then there’s Hawthorn – have ...
