Who knows with the saints - Weagles have been pretty poor but they handled us with ease in the end. The saints have a sorry record against the Powerless ones who will also have a few out with injury. That should just about make it a win for them. I will be hoping rather than expecting this weekend !...

Geez the cupboard looks pretty bare for replacing Max - he's the glue down there. I reckon Armo's needs a rest - he is just not getting enough of the pill at the moment (not that he racked up huge stats in any game yet) - & YES I accept that he will become a good player but isn't producing yet. ...

It's amazing how a bad loss changes your thinking. Before the Weagles debacle I was thinking we could win the remainder of the home away games. Saturday night and I was scratching my head thinking where we will get our next win. That's the joy  of supporting the saints I suppose.

Why Ross played Fiora deep in defence is beyond me. Le Cras could have kicked 3 or 4 on him in the 3rd quarter yet they wouldn't move him.
He is not a defenders ring so don't play him there !

When I was living in Perth back in the 90's I went to a game at the WACA and we kicked something like 9 goals to one in the first quarter (Devonport was on fire ?) and then we proceeded to lose the game. Scarred me for life.

I get nervous about every damn game - a 50 point margin at 3/4 time gets me starting to feel reasonable. It must be an age thing after years of pain and suffering - football not marriage :D

Cox

Does anybody remember when Banga Harvey played on Jim Stynes and carved him up (could have been Stynes Brownlow Year) For that reason perhaps Blake could play on Cox around the ground and King do the centre circle work. Remembering that Blake has a big motor & he could make Cox work hard both wa...

Reading from todays training post it seems that Harvey maybe doubtful - he does have wonderful recuperative powers but a long flight to Perth won't do him much good. I guess they will be able to take over a posse to try and cover for him (not that anyone can !) Armo not getting much of it - but play...

Bam - I think it was Massie and you forgot what Buddy did to him in the return match (Finals)

Has to be Blake - Maxie much better closer to goal and we need to try and keep Sam free.

Dal

I know it came off but I wish Dal had of taken the shot for goal that he passed off to Kosi (even though Kosi kicked a great goal) The fact was he put Kosi on a worse angle and on the wrong side for a right footer. It didn't seem to me to be playing the % . I guess Dal is still down a bit on confide...

I reckon Blakes the man for Buddy - he's got the engine to run with him and has done some good jobs in recent weeks. I think Buddy would be too good for Sam at this stage - Sam might be better off with Williams who looked pretty dangerous today. Maxie can handle the Roughie - try and keep Sam Fisher...

Blake is doing a great job and is an important memeber of the team.At least now he is not being forced to ruck against the mountains. One thing with Blake is that you know he will give 100+%

Dempster did a great job on Stevens. I have been critical of his input but in recent games he is now getting some valuable possessions. He deserves a spot in our best 22 at the moment.

Not sure if 2008 is about dusted for Stevie, seems to be really struggling with his knee and that has affected his fitness. Without a good base it is difficult to compete. Get him 100% right even if it means 2009.

Iremember66 I hear what you are saying about Gwilt - as I said I thought he had been making progress but I was disappointed with Fridays night game. Confidence is a great thing and often hard to come by. I would hate to see James "go back into his shell" BUT I don't want to see some of the...

A couple of player negatives

Good to get the 4 points over a mob who are chasing a place in the 8 I was disappointed in a couple of things. Gwilt - after seeing some steady progress (agree not spectacular) what happened last night - some of his free kicks against , 50 metre penalties and efforts were diabolical. Whats with Gilb...

i've spoken, repeat, spoken to three current CEO's of AFL clubs who have all had a direct involvement in the strategic planning and running of club functions. Phillip you obviously have no idea how big business is run - if the CEO of a large company has to also oversee and run fundraisers heaven help us. No way can Baker go straight in - he looked underdone before he copped his injurynd and he must get some form / conditioning at Casey.
I reckon we might slip Lenny straight back in :D - probably exit Charlie.
