I'm gonna do my usual trick and make a right idiot of meself and try to get the chant going in level one aisle 18/19 right from the first bounce!!! Who's with me???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go yo...

Great chance this week!
:D We have no pressure of being favourites ( ) and I reckon the opportunity to pick ourselves up off the canvas is too good to miss! :) The coach is capable, but is still growing into the job and we need to be positive about our chances. A win against Geelong could be just the springboard for...

Up on the good old MW last fridee
:D Gday Folks! How are we all this mornin? I'm slowly erasing the pain of fridee from my mind. I still can't understand how we lost so badly after such a bright start; but have the feeling that it was a case of the Bulldogs just being that wee bit better than us in the second quarter and building fr...

We will beat Geelong next week
:D I always have the attitude that we can beat anybody on the day. Its football and anything can happen. Geelong are not premiers for nothing. A great side, playing with confidence and playing as a TEAM. Its a tough challenge for sure but like the original post I feel optimistic (but then I do EVERY...

Interesting piece by Rohan Connolly
:D Fair comment to a point, but many flag winners have less than spectacular beginnings to their season Port in 04 were not setting the world on fire early in the piece. Sydney in 05. On the other hand we saw Essendon in 2000 and West Coast in 06 go well almost for the whole year. On the OTHER other...

The key to success is "Steady, consistent progress" rather than blazing for a short time before dimming again. The future looks good for a number of reasons not least being a quiet detrmination about the way the club is going about its business

I was thinking that way too! He's still young and has time to become a fine player with us. I guess the match Committee have their reasons for his non-selection thus far

Interesting piece by Rohan Connolly
I think that having "all our good players out there" would be first requirement of winning any game, regardless of being Sydney, Hawthorn, etc etc. The other point Rohan Connolly made was that we have for the first time in a year or two, a greater depth of cover for our players.

Interesting piece by Rohan Connolly
I'd have to agree with the view that while we're harder to bag big scores against we don't look as if we'll inflict the kind of hammerings a-la 2004 in particular. There again, in 2004 we had Aussie playing some of the best footy of his career from a defensive position along with Heath Black who in ...

Interesting piece by Rohan Connolly
Hi Folks! :D Did anyone read Rohan Connolly's article in the Age? (monday 31st) I thought it was pretty much spot-on. We are becoming much harder to beat because of a stronger defence, and those terrible floggings of seasons 2000-03 now appear to be a thing of the past. I thought the article reflect...

Atmosphere
:D G'day Folks! :D Its always a challenge to "create" an atmosphere when the game is going the way it was in the opening period with the team looking a wee bit sluggish and our opponents in the lead. It all comes back to how the team are going out on the paddock for a majority of the crowd...

Swans tactics in context of the season
:) I posted under this subject title because I believe that the Swans having been the premiers in 05 and Grand Finalists in 06 have nowhere to go but "south"! Hall, Everitt, Barry, Kirk and Jolly are not getting any younger or better. The style of play they have perfected is limited and wh...

Go the Leachster!!!!!
It was about Collingwoods "offer" to play some games on the Gold Coast in order to "help the comp" (??!!??) Francis Leach wanted to know why it was that NONE of these would be Collingwood home games!!!! Eddie got shirty at the cheek of Francis questioning anything concerning Coll...

Like a lot of posters here I think there's a lot of work to do yet to see Raph achieve his potential, but if we persevere he could just become a fine player for us.

Swans tactics in context of the season
Gday Folks! I reckon we need to move on pretty quickly from the controversy of "tunnelling" and get focussed for the big game this week. In the context of our season, the Swans game should be seen as four points gained without any serious injuries. Watching the taped highlights (or is it &...

Although the game itself was not the best it was good to be among those Sainters down on level one aisle 18/19 again! They feel like old friends (one of them owes me a beer! )

Beating the Swans not a bad start for 08
Gday Folks! :D Like most of you I was a wee bit disappointed that we fell away after a bright start to the game. (Sydney are awful to watch are they not?) I'm not ready JUST yet to make bold flag predictions or on the other hand, to dismiss our chances in 08 because of our lack of goals in one game....
