Re: Team v Roos
Carlton got Moir who was touted as equivalent to Collard or better.

Re: Team v Roos
Membrey is playing for his career over the next few weeks. We know Caminiti will be a player. Sharman has proven himself at the level too, but both need to improve aspects of their game. Some time in the VFL for each of them won't do any harm. But if Membrey can't find himself adding value to a forw...

Re: Things we must do v North
If we lose, I will be deleting my saintsational and bigfooty shortcuts for at least a week. I suggest anyone who values their sanity do the same.

Re: Things we must do v North
It needed to be said twice!
A loss would not just derail the season, it would severely impact the team build.

Owens and Wilkie
Haven't watched it yet, but the show is usually worth watching when sainters are on.

Re: Team v Roos
I think we are currently at a crossroads in development.
Clearly there are two players ready to play AFL in Collard and Schoenmaker.
Bring them in and we're almost too young a side, need some experience beside them for on field coaching and leadership. Especially up forward.

Re: Team v Roos
Hayes for Caminiti Wood for Sharman Webster for Cordy King for ... Higgins? I'd love to see King play like a forward pocket. Reckon he'd kick more goals that way. How exactly? It’s not the 90’s anymore. No one plays positions anymore. Talls play deep forward or mid forward. He’d have the same oppon...

This trash argument doesn't even deserve a response, and certainly doesn't belong unchecked on a poorly moderated footy forum.

I could see Seb playing mid rotations off the bench in a flag winning side.

Nothing you have said is about 'political correctness', it was a blatant sexist comment tying someone's gender to their actions.magnifisaint wrote: ↑Wed 01 May 2024 1:30pm Each to their own. I think there's too much political correctness in this world. It's only paying lip service.

Re: Higgins Alir incident
The message received by the clubs and public from this incident is:
- Arm holding tackles are not OK. The AFL should come out and state that holding an arm/wrist is the equivalent of pinning.
- Dragging an opponent down with your own weight is considered "rotating" the tackle.

Re: Higgins Alir incident
We should definitely be appealing the decision. If not for us then for the other clubs in the AFL.
This level of inconsistency can't be allowed to stand.
"Outcome = punishment" is not the way to change behaviours.

Re: Selection over the next couple weeks
History tells us we don't make more than the required changes +1 in any given week. Higgins for King is a likely option. But I don't like it - we are already too top-heavy both forward and back. If I were on the selection panel. In: Paton or Webster (whoever is fitter), Collard, King Out: Higgins, C...

Re: The Jimmy Situation
Is there an appropriate match up for Paton and is he more suitable than someone else? Multiple goals kicked by these guys last week: Larkey, Zurhaar, Duursma. And the week before: Larkey, Curtis. The case for Paton is pretty good. You could almost bring in both Paton AND Webster. I don't think we n...

Re: Higgins Alir incident
We argued to get it thrown out, but if not they're arguing exceptional circumstances to reduce.
The issue is you only get one chance to put out an argument. You can't come back after being rejected to having it thrown out to try and reduce it.

We almost lost to North twice out of the last 3 matches. With the form we're in I wouldn't be surprised if we lose. Would derail the season.Brunswicksainter wrote: ↑Tue 30 Apr 2024 7:13pm North Melbourne would lose games at VFL level shouldn’t be worried about them in the slightest. Pick the best side and win.
