Bit harsh on Smith IMO

He was a young kid going into a long long rehab eventually trying to get back into a midfield consisting of Harvey, Winmar, Burke, Brown, Jones, Lappin... to name a few

i'd pbly would have jumped at a longer contract... there was a good chance he would never have made it

Rix has potential. Some games he is too quiet, others he is fercious and a great tackling-ruckman. I forget which game it was...think against the dockers or bulldogs, didnt pick up many possies, but his intensity and tackling was great. Wish he could just find his motor and keep it switched on, cau...

there are forumites here that seem almost too happy to ridicule Cousins... that is very sad

it never ceases to amaze me how people can such jpy put ofother ppls misfortune... like those carlton supporters who are actually glad Hamils career ended prematurely

Josh Thurgood has been delisted by Hawthorn. Was treated horribly in 2005, being played on gorilla forwards when he weighed as much as a paper clip. I thought he showed signs of a good fullback in the making, if he could only put on some muscle. I think ur thinking of zac dawson... isn't JT the lit...

i'd still have kept him ahead of Rix... still I'm glad that RL has at least made some tough decisions rather than the "i'll keep him on the list but not play him" model we've seen as of late

24-25k are moderately loyal fans that will def sign up as long as we're not cellar dwellers the next 6-10k will sign if we look capable of delivering the goods next season which will be based on our preseason form. there's no secret about it... win the NAB cup (or whatever it is these days) and we'l...

I don't have an agenda against Rix, I just don't rate him... i don't think he offers anything to the team at all. I don't think Brooks is much better but I acknowledge the fact that he can catch the ball and roost it... its looking like his career will amount to nothing and he'll kick himself for no...

the up side to rix is he put his body on the line and give chase and at least create a contest which all equates to nothing... he gave a chase = lagged behind his opponent, gets to the contest but may as well not have... puts his body on the line, what does that even mean, some of u guys are so cau...

I am with you I stuggle for a reason to go there. To far away from where most of the players live. No where near we we play our home games. Yes you are right no reason at all to go there. No need for sarcasm In terms of travel; for players on upwards of 60-70k i think they can suck it up In terms o...

See this 100% effort thing is one of the biggest used car salesman lines ever you know who else gave 100% effort... Mark McGough, Trent Knobel, Justin Plapp, Matthew Clarke etc etc see my point? I'm not a particularly big Brooks fan but surely he's a better bet than Rix... Got nothing against Rix pe...

I'm all for clearing out deadwood... BUT: - Surely Brooks has more upside than Rix? - Why would you move on McQualter, yet keep Clinton Jones? - Given we've lost Gehrig, and Kosi - depsite a good recent injury record - could be suspect to injury, why would we get rid of Watts? You'd have to think t...
