Matchups
Assuming sides as selected ( i do not think Ball or Presti will play) here could be some matchups: F:Milne, Kosi , Schnieder B:O'Brien, Preti(Wakelin) Clarke HF: Gwilt, Reiwoldt, Jones HB: Goldsack, Brown, Maxwell C: Mont, Hayes, Goddard C: Cox, Burns, O'Bree HB:Gram (tag on Leon), fisher, R Clarke ...

Change this week require potential impact player
If any changes are made this week the player we bring in really needs to have the potential to have an impact , ala Gwilt in Adelaide in a one off performace. Fiora & Birrs will be solid players but not win us the game . M Gardiner is Ruck only never was or will be a FF. I think C Gardiner out a...

Geelong too good today but this group can bounce back
Geelong were too good today. i have not seena team score so efficiently off turnovers as Geelong and our turnovers were terrible. Sure the Milne decision didn't help but if they kick straight in 1st qtr we are shot. Not happy about the couple pats on the bm to Geelong players in qtr 1 for incidental...

Would think like many X for Demspter. May be tempted to go MQ for Eddy and another tagger off the bench v Eddy a link man and forward pressure player. Will be interesting though. Fiora missed last week so needs a game , like x the week before . Fisher a little slow against Geelong, may have com eino...

Changes for the week & Match ups
In: Ball ( hopefully) X Clarke Out: Dempster, Eddy? Tough call on Eddy but not really any other obvious one. Interestingly McQaulter could come into the equation with Dempster gone as may lack a tagger in the middle. Bartel / Hayes ( may help break Ling Tag) Ablett/ ? no tagger really Ling/ Goddard ...

Go Doggies!
At the start of the weekend 5th looked like a great spot but with results , esp North we really need the dogs to win now or else week 2 we could be heading to Adelaide. Dogs to win as they need to get some momentum after a very ordinary month, Porpus to do shoulder before half time. StKilda to beat ...

4 year plan for youth
Interesting to read a quote in the Age today from Armitage re Ross Lyon's plan with young players -basically that he sees it as a 4 year process for most young players to become regular Senior players. I personally like that strategy and we just need opt be patient. Haw in the late 80's di this ( i ...

Most years would be worth a 2nd round pick but with GC17 this yeras picks are more important than ever before. I would like him as he gives us depth in the midfield which we seem to lack and has an ability to find the ball. What do we give up - Perhaps Allen (mooney won't be there for ever?) and 4th...

5th or 8th long term on the basis of being able to stay in Melb as you will then avoid Geelong until the GF. win 2 and will prob finish 6 or 7 which makes it a little difficult and possibly play Adel or syd in Melb (depending on other results) Saints to win 2 WB def Adel Coll Def Freo Syd Def Bris 5...

5th or 8th could be better than 6th or 7th
Having played around with the ladder predictor POssibly finishing 5th or 8th could be a blessing in disguise. I had StKilda 8th Coll 5th and North 4th which meant Coll 1st week, North 2nd week and not geelong 3rd week. Better side of the draw to avoid Geelong until the Grand Final. Our current form ...

Didn't we go through this last week? Keep playing it...it's a bloody number on a jumper ffs. It has a good history, maybe some of it's magical powers will rub off on the next recipient. Perhaps to many that is the case , but the ability to add more to it exists and as a club they COULD take an oppo...

No doubt cost us a major lead against a team that had a history of choking. Possibly a little too far to say cost a Premiership as Brisbane had pulled our pants down 2 weeks earlier. Grand final definitely. Like those geelong supporters who say Nick Davis cost them a premiership - they still had to ...

Heard on SEN this morning that both have realy struggled with family issues this year - understanable. We are just an above average team no more
Our ladder position is exactly correct. We are just about average, perhaps a little above. Teams like this are inconsistent, win when perhaps shouldn't lose when perhaps shouldn't but in general beat teams below and lose to teams above. We are overrated by the media and supporters who think we are s...

All FF's are only as good as the delivery , which in recent times has been poor at best. 6 foot 8 athletic and one of the few in the AFL that can actually split a pack to not grow on trees. Aside from being offered J Brown , Buddy which is not going to happen you do not trade him. Perhaps trade thos...

Gwilt is not an AFL player. His decision making is a disgrace - not what to do when he gets the ball, his decision making of when to go and wen not to, and when to zone off his opponent and when not to. Have a look at his goals conceded last night and then number of times his man was involved in a ...
