Re: Stanley = Positive
Loved his mark and goal tonight. My highlight of the night.
I also loved his commitment to running through the lines and trying to play on when he had the ball a couple of times at 60m.

I haven't seen some of that frontal pressure since the halcyon days of Eddy and McQualter.3rd generation saint wrote:We looked like the side that won 19 games straight in 09 for a good part of that 3rd quarter.
Dogs couldn't get the ball out of our forward 50 and it only eventually came out because we scored a goal.

Mods, time to move this to the opposition forum. Saints supporters telling other Saints supporters how they have to react to an opposition player. It's like the Brad Johnson thread all over again. Not doing that at all. Asdking Saints supporters to be a little better than Filth/Essendon fans....sur...

Re: Ball acl
I would never wish injury on any player. But of all the players it could happen to, I am least upset about it being Bail. And well done to the Collingwood medical / fitness staff. Great call to send him back on. I think tweedaletomanning nailed it. Luke Ball cost the club a flag with his selfishness...

Re: Would the referral system alter the Tom Hawkins debacle?
The Hawkins decision would have been overturned as replays before the ball being bounced were so obvious. The system is better than none at all but like the cricket will not be perfect. If 10 decisions were wrong last year and then it drops to 5 then surely it is better than none. I'm not sure the ...

Port's first goal last week was never looked at despite it looking just as touched as the Goddard shot tonight. Fisher claimed he touched it but they never reviewed it. Lucky it wasn't a close game!

pretty sure Raph didn't score too much either he played over 80% of game time, pretty sure his supercoach score would have been close to zero that day!

BAIL must still be one of the only players in the AFL who gives it everything he has from 50 and still can't make the distance. I hate him, his mate Buttifant (another ex Saint) and all his filth team mates.

There's always footy played on a Friday.

Why would you not play on a Friday that is a public holiday?

Riewoldt plays significantly differently to those other players. It's difficult to give away frees when you are on the lead and ahead of your opponent every time.

Re: Free kick count
And BTW free kick count is irrelevant. not when its lop sided in a game decided by less than a goal But it's not numbers of free kicks that matter, it's correct / incorrect decisions. If there should be 20 free kicks to Port and 10 frees to St Kilda and that's what the umpires pay, then you can't c...
